So I originally saw this denim beauty in the ASOS magazine. At the time, it was just a preview, but since seeing that page I had been waiting for it’s release, signing up for email updates maybe more than once to make sure I hadn’t missed anything. Finally, it’s in my wardrobe. I love, love, love that it has pockets – actual, usable pockets! The light vs. dark denim creates a slimming illusion – even in a plain shift dress shape. It’s also perfect for my Newcastle wardrobe as unlike with all my other skirts (mostly of the skater style) it stays put in high winds – no flashing!

The jacket is also a new little addition to my wardrobe. I needed (my Mum might say ‘need’ is the wrong word…) a lighter jacket for the Summer/Winter transition. My denim jacket works well with everything but denim, and the introduction of jeans for Autumn means I needed something that would go with them. I sometimes feel leather jackets are a little heavy for warmer weather – I was looking for something breathable. This quilted black and white jacket from Warehouse is perfect! It’s currently on sale on ASOS – it’s a little on the smaller sizing, so with cardis etc underneath I would go a size up, but it’s so cosy it’s a must-have for any Autumn wardrobe!

I also finished the look off with a pair of vans – simple! What do you think is essential for an Autumn wardrobe?
