After seeing many many blog posts about beautiful new coats, I went in search of my own. I have two very warm coats I switch between, but wanted something a little smarter than a parka and a little bit more fun. This contrast tweed coat by ASOS is perfect – I wanted something that could go with anything, but the white and black pattern on the front makes it a little more exciting than a plain black coat. I was also surprised at how warm it keeps me, and the generous boyfriend-like cut means you can layer up underneath easily (still waiting for the snow in Newcastle)!

I also got the little pink collar out again – I love the detail and colour it adds in a matter of seconds! This grey jumper is also something I’ve always loved. I’ve had it for a year or so now but its just so easy! I hardly ever wear grey, but this has cute little heart patches on the elbows (always a big fan of elbow patches) and it’s just so easy to wear!
