Hillary’s Crafternoon | DIY

Again, something a little different here today – I’m trying out a few bits and pieces for content on here so please comment and let me know what you think!

A few weeks ago I was invited by Joe’s Bloggers Network and Hillary’s Blinds to take part in a “Crafternoon” at Drink, Shop & Do. This was my first blogger event, so I was a little nervous about what was going to happen and who would be there. But as soon as I arrived I was greeted with tea and cake (red velvet – always a winner!) and sat down ready to get started.

The lovely ladies from Crafty Hen talked us through the instructions for creating our own jewellery boxes, using the fabric provided. Though there were some colourful options on the table, I stuck with the golden, muted colours for mine, and paired them with some dark grey ribbon to add some shimmer (because who doesn’t love a bit of shimmer?). There was a lot of double sided sticky tape involved which managed to get stuck to everything, but luckily, I didn’t manage to tear anything visible!

These are the results! I’m really happy with how my box turned out, and this idea would make a cute DIY gift for someone now Christmas is coming up! You can read more about the crafternoon events over here on Hillary’s blog.
