Dress: ASOS | Handbag: Kate Spade (the colouring is definitely wrong online – I had to ask the assistant!)

While Simon got to admire all things Apple in New York (the store was open 24/7 and boy did he make the most of it…), I took my revenge with all things Kate Spade. Hello, lovely pretty things. I have to admit, we made more than one trip to this lovely store.

Before our trip, I came up with a (“short”) list of things I could allow myself to splurge on while abroad – well, when in dollars! A handbag was top of my list (the purse came later…). I’d been browsing for a while at home, but waiting for our trip to finally take advantage of the conversion rate, and well, when you know you know am I right? I hadn’t seen this bag before, and spent a good while choosing between colours and styles, but this one really stood out to me, and when I sent the photo to my mum (because, always), she approved and pointed out how well it matched my outfit. I was sold, even before I opened it up to see the lining! I love the gold letters on the side too – it just makes me smile when I take it anywhere.

I love this new denim look dress I picked up on ASOS, and kept it pretty minimal with black boots so I could highlight my new accessory – Kate. Handily, I also found some lipstick in New York (thank you Ulta) which matches perfectly. I came across this Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick through one of my favourite bloggers, Kate of katelavie.com (in this post). I think they look pretty good together.
