Dress: Urban Outfitters | Coat: ASOS (similar here, here and here) | Shoes: Dr Martens via ASOS | Bag: Lulu Guinness
So on this post you can find a little mix of new and old things, for example – this coat is something you will have seen a few times before (maybe more than a few depending on how long ago you found me!), but this dress and those boots? They’re brand new. And I’m in L.O.V.E.
Recently I’ve been yoyo-ing between being excited over Christmas and the time off it brings, and panicking over how little Christmas shopping I’ve done, which usually leads onto more panic when I realise Christmas is actually much sooner than I thought, am I right?
Last Sunday I made a last minute dash to buy all things London-y I could possibly need, starting at Harrods. Top London Christmas feeling right there! Harrods is beautifully decorated inside and out and – providing you have plenty of time to browse – has all sorts of things you might never think of until you see them as perfect presents. It is also the sort of place you can completely lose your bearings and end up in for hours (hence the need for plenty of time!). On this trip, time was of the essence as I was cooking our house Christmas dinner in the afternoon, so I nipped in to purchase a few things and came out ticking people off the Christmas list (finally!).
Now back to these new things. Please welcome my favourite winter dress – this cosy little number can be found in Urban Outfitters. There are also some turtleneck tops you might want to check out if you’re a fan of this dress (I have purchased the white and taupe so I will be cosy all winter, all essential!). I personally love long sleeved dresses, and this one even swings a little. I’ve been constantly wearing – and washing, don’t panic – this one since I found it a few weeks ago. I may even have to check out the other colour options, though I appear to be a big fan of the monochrome look at the moment.
Next shiny new thing (sorry bank balance!) are these new Dr Marten Kensington Flora Boots. Hello lovelies! I would say these are my very first pair of Dr Martens, but apparently I had a teeny tiny pair when I was little (Mum was clearly way ahead of the trends). But these boots are something else! They’ve barely left my feet. I’d been on the lookout for some plain black chelsea boots with quite a high rise around the ankle for some time, so these fit the bill perfectly, and are so comfy.

Love how neutral and chic this outfit is – and that purse is just so pretty. Good luck with your Christmas shopping 🙂
