Jacket: Jigsaw | Jumper: Topshop (similar here) | Jeans: Warehouse | Boots: Carvela |
Bag: Lulu Guinness (now on sale)
So just before Christmas, Walsh and I took a trip down memory lane and went to visit Newcastle. Mainly to stuff our faces at our favourite northern restaurants, but also to visit friends and pretend we were students once again, because we miss getting up at noon and having weekdays off. However, I’m hoping to put up a little guide to our favourite places we left behind this month, so more on that later!
We stayed on the Quayside, which is one of the prettiest parts of Newcastle, so I just had to feature it in this post. Though Walsh was a pretty good photographer, we battled wind and (a very quick) sunset to get you these, so I could show you my latest finds.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you again whoever invented Black Friday which bought me to the Lulu Guinness pop up shop in Covent Garden. Although I wasn’t planning on purchasing a new Lulu, this one grabbed my attention and I just couldn’t stop thinking about her. Isn’t she beautiful? I love the lining, and the gold lip zip pull, and the colour – basically, everything. I am a big red accessories fan it seems, and have once again matched my lipstick to my bag. Thank you Charlotte Tilbury.

Recently, I seem to have become a big fan of the monochrome trend, choosing black with black, and then black again, but hey – it works with the red! However, it makes it pretty difficult to tell things apart when they’re all rolled up on my shelves (I need more space!). But this little Topshop jumper I picked up last year has kept me going strong through the cold – I also have a thing for high necks it seems – and combined with my favourite Jigsaw coat, I managed to keep pretty snug.

And as for my feet, well they found themselves pretty cosy too in these Carvela boots. I have been coveting these Stuart Weitzman beauty’s for a while now, but not having a few hundred pounds to spare, I went in search of some similarly elasticated options. These came up trumps in a black friday sale which had me at hello, so they’ve been keeping my calves warm ever since.

Do you have any favourite places in Newcastle? Watch out for my majorly-food-orientated Newcastle post coming soon!

*I know I promised Wednesday posts in my New Year’s resolution – but what is a resolution if it’s not broken? Sorry it’s a little late – I’m still working my way back into the swing of things (and it was Walsh’s birthday so my full attention was required for finding presents so soon after Christmas! Happy birthday today!), but keep watching on Wednesdays!*
