Maybe I’m a little out of the loop, or a little late catching onto the trend, but have you heard of Jeffree Star lipsticks?! I have my sister to thank for introducing me to his liquid velour lipsticks, because these, ladies, are the stuff of dreams.
With a collection only available on Cocktail Cosmetics in the UK, Jeffree Star make up seems to sell out in the blink of an eye. Luckily, my sister Jessica is always up to date with the latest releases. I came home a few months ago to a little parcel waiting for me, and Jess had snapped me up my very first Jeffree lipstick. One I’d been pining after having seen her enormous collection and having tried on her Doll Parts for myself on a recent visit home.
These lipsticks last like no other I’ve ever had. Once they’re on, I barely need to worry about topping up, even after brushing my teeth or having lunch. The only thing that begins to break it down is oily food – but you need to get it off somehow amiright?! These two shades have worked their way into my everyday lipstick collection as I just love the colours and how hassle free they are. Even better, they’re 100% vegan and cruelty free.
As I said, my first Jeffree Star. It holds a special place on my shelf, and has fast become my go-to daily lipstick. It’s a beautifully flattering cool pink, which goes with everything I own and I just can’t get enough (you’ll notice it on quite a few posts coming up…).I have to admit it took me a little practise to get used to using the wand and managing to get that perfect lip line, but it is pretty easy considering I never need to use a lip liner with these.
